Information we collect
We receive the name and verified email associated with the Google, Microsoft, or ChatGPT account you choose for sign-in. You may choose to enter care-recipient profiles, care activities, observations, medications, vital signs, incidents, routines, care-team details, reports, and related notes. We also process limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
How we use information
We use information to provide the CareProof workspace, attribute entries, generate summaries, maintain account security, respond to support needs, improve reliability, and comply with applicable law. CareProof does not sell caregiving or health information and does not use it for targeted advertising.
Sharing and access
Care records are available to the account owner and people the owner authorizes for a care profile. We use infrastructure providers to host and secure the service and Postmark to deliver transactional invitation emails. Invitation delivery shares the inviter and invitee names and email addresses, assigned role, and sign-in link with Postmark; CareProof does not include the care recipient’s name or care records in that email. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or legal rights, or during a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Your controls
The Privacy Center lets you review access, export account data, remove team access, and delete an account. Account deletion removes active CareProof records; limited copies may remain temporarily in security, disaster-recovery, or legally required records.
Security and retention
CareProof uses access controls, attributed activity, encrypted transport, and managed platform storage. No system can guarantee absolute security. Keep devices protected, sign out on shared devices, and grant access only to people who need it. We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably needed for security, recovery, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
Health-information notice
CareProof is a consumer caregiving record tool, not a health plan or healthcare provider. HIPAA coverage depends on the parties and circumstances; do not assume CareProof records are protected by HIPAA unless a separate written arrangement says so. Other privacy and breach-notification laws may apply.
Children and changes
CareProof is not directed to children under 18. We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the revised date here. Material changes should be reviewed before continued use.
